Why these cards are significant in a Psychic Tarot Reading

The final seven cards –The Devil XV thru The World XXI

Part 3

The Conclusion…

In Part One, we saw the birth of the journey through the Major Arcana and the emergence of The Fool, our traveler through the various textures of life’s experience. We delved into the initial dynamics of any fresh journey representing new beginnings, and the encounters of inner and outer identity as well as challenges, in terms of what we value, what we pursue and the search for life’s meaning. Part one introduced The Fool, the traveler of this journey, and cards one through seven, culminated in the first victory along the way in number VII, The Chariot.

In Part Two, we saw the next set of challenges and opportunities in which The Fool, traveling along his merry way would encounter. Armed with the basic wisdom and knowledge from his original journey, he now confronts even greater textures and colors of life. Striving to evolve his emerging inner and outer identity he attempts to manage his personal evolving spiritual force of life. His next encounter was with Justice where recalibration and balance is required. We saw that perhaps that would necessitate the need to find himself, in terms of connecting to his own inner light, as The Hermit energy was next. Adding the further contour of experience a long his way was the Wheel of Fortune, and its dramatic allure. He experienced the ups and downs of his ever-changing fortunes, and gained through his encounter with Strength, the ability to stand in his power and make choices from a more focused point of view. The need to make these choices often caused him difficulty along the way, and at one point he had to stop, embrace the energy of The Hanged Man and regroup, allowing his personal evolution to catch up with his experiences. This was where, through his encounter with Death and transformation, that a rebirth occurred. He took the best of what he had experienced and molded it into a new vehicle of expression while leaving what he had outgrown behind. After this tumultuous experience he was able to find calm, and the ability to facilitate the transference of what he had learned from his lower to his higher consciousness, in his experience of Temperance.

Now, perhaps one of the most fearsome yet unbelievably rewarding parts of this journey still lies ahead of him. It is in Part Three that he will encounter the most transcendent experiences, embracing the opportunity to rise above all the old concepts, emotional baggage and belief systems that have held him back from reaching his true goal, and the object of his original intention, enlightenment.

I, as a psychic reader and expert in The Tarot, see clients in person in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Ventura County, CA. and on Zoom or over the phone throughout the U.S.A. and the world. I have had the honor to interpret these symbols and combinations in multiple ways over many years to help individuals find their way and embrace their good fortune, or find ways to steer around approaching conflicts.

The Devil XV

Anthony Teresi Interprets the 22 Major Arcana of The Tarot Part 3

The Devil, in a psychic tarot reading does not represent an actual devil. There is no devil except for man’s own compelling choices that lash him to the wheel of his own obsessions. In essence, one of the main definitions of his card is addiction. Whether it be sex, drugs, food, wealth, power, fame or any activity to which we are compelled to act against our own self interest, The Devil in many ways is a subtle representation of the dark side of our personality. This energy often lies hidden under the surface. We are not always aware of its function in our life until we come face-to-face with the fact that we cannot do without the very thing or experiences that can lead to our own self destruction. The Devil is the baser elements within every human being. It manifests in our outer world as our attachments to worldly possessions, and inwardly represents our bondage to emotional and personal relationships that are toxic and unhealthy. In a psychic tarot reading The Devil appears when it becomes evident that the evolution of the personality is entering its last phase of restriction. The rise in recent times of many organizations such as AA, who are dedicated to dealing with this very compulsion, shows us that we are not powerless in the face of these forces within. We do have the strength to overcome.

The Tower XVI

When The Tower is selected in a psychic tarot reading, it represents unmistakable and often unavoidable change. Many people fear the Death card arising, but it is The Tower that represents the very action of destruction and catastrophe. This change occurs as a result of certain structures in our life that can no longer bear the weight of their own inconsistencies. Examples in the world represent businesses that have been losing money for years and owners who have been holding on for dear life but finally collapse. Other examples, are relationships that have become hollow and have lost their substance, and simply fall apart. Even if one or both of the individuals feel stuck and unmovable, there is the possibility of self sabotage and treachery that create disastrous results and the inability to continue. There is the ruination of the gambler who goes broke; the get rich quick scheme that we are defrauded by and lose our savings. On the inner life there are those who attempt to take shortcuts to gaining wisdom and enlightenment only to find themselves bitterly disillusioned. The meaning of The Tower in a psychic tarot reading represents a change that must come, but that we have denied or have refused to make. The soul must evolve as there is no other direction than the way forward. Stagnation, ambivalence to growth, and a desire for the status quo can never last. These negative effects in our life require the energy of The Tower. Acting with the same relentlessness as the force of a river that ultimately breaks up a log jam, The Tower will come into life affecting the structures and elements that cannot bear the weight of their own existence any longer and explode. A thunderstorm seems fearsome in the midst of the rain pouring down, but once it has passed, we can see that everything has been washed away and renewed. Perhaps only then can we begin to get a true sense of the necessity of The Tower energy.

The Star XVII

The Star is often the very representation of what we see after the force of The Tower has come and gone. It represents great insight, inspiration, good health, and unselfish attitudes toward life, and brings with it the nourishing waters of the gifts of the spirit, and the new truth by which to live life. The Star in a psychic tarot reading is a sight to behold as its promise is that of a new day. One can expect new and great love to be given and received. Optimism, and new perception show us the way forward as pessimism and doubt are lifted, and the once dark clouds have now been swept away. Once again, we see the symbolism of water being poured, only this time it is being poured into the world. Flowing water is symbolic of a new truth being given to life and often is attached to individuals and personalities who have come with a great message for the world. The Star represents the realization that we have seen the beauty of the light within us, and now we can transmit this message to the world. When we have reached the land of The Star and the waters are flowing, we have a message to bring that has been molded and shaped by the victories of our own experience. In the material world, however, The Star can represent false prophets, who would seek to convince you that their truth is the only truth. At this stage of the journey we have become aware of universal truth, and are not easily swayed by conversations and persuasions that do not resonate with our own inner light. These are the moments, and this is the position where we can unselfishly offer our own personal insight to the world and all of humanity.

The Moon XVIII

When The Moon makes its appearance in our psychic tarot reading, we can see that we have risen above the personal intuition of The Priestess, and are now able to tap into the greater consciousness of multiple psychic directions. The Moon represents the nonlinear dream world, and we can receive messages through images and imagination that flow from the heart. These can be extremely advantageous to us in our ability to rise above what are merely the facts and figures of what otherwise seems to be a highly entitled intellectual approach to life at this time. While The Moon sharpens our intuition and psychic abilities, it also can represent dangers of deception of unforeseen perils, and secret foes. On another level, it can represent difficult circumstances for one that we love. The Fool is still on his journey, and is still learning by falling back, and then advancing.  The Moon can be one of the greatest symbols of a capacity to love in a boundless manner, and an imagination that has no limitation. It can also represent illusion and delusion, and we are often easily fooled under this influence. Within each individual is the capacity to experience imagery. The Moon represents that capacity. We experience imagery in our imagination and intuition, but also in delusion, illusion, and unrealistic flights of fancy. This is where The Fool accesses the degree of his evolution. If sufficient progress has been made, he will recognize the difference between these multiple elements. If not, then he is likely to fall prey and once again, may have to take a step backward. This is in keeping with the nature of the way life unfolds. It is rarely linear, trudging one foot in front of the other. In almost every single case there is a forward and backward development that affect us all. The Moon can represent falling prey to disillusionment, or, it can assist us in finding our way in the dark.

The Sun XIX

The Sun and The Moon are literally polar opposites. The Sun is considered by many psychics to be the most positive card in the entire deck of the tarot. If it emerges by choice in a psychic tarot reading, we can see this as a powerful omen and portend for great success, material happiness, and attainment of whatever goals the individual is seeking. The Sun radiates heat and light from its own inner being. It is the only card that has this ability. The Sun represents the emerging spirit and soul light that animates all living beings on our planet.  Its warmth and positivity are unmatched and it’s a welcome site and positive answer to any questions that might be posed. Achievement in such areas as the arts, science, environmental activities, and taking pleasure in a simple life of vitality and good health can be expected to continue. The Sun represents the energy that beats our heart, and is the source of our ability to love and be loved. It is the most magnanimous of all energies in the tarot, and emerging in a psychic tarot reading, brings light to even what might otherwise be considered a difficult circumstance. The Sun breathes the life and vitality and harmonic abundance into all it touches. Expect to find bliss, generosity, and a radical positivity in both yourself and others as you make your way. One cannot ask for a more positive card to be chosen. Others will feel the warm glow of your beaming heart and your inspired mind at these times, and positive people will be drawn to you. Remember at this time to dance, sing, and express yourself in whatever way you feel. Step into a spontaneous and unrestrained manner of joyful bliss, optimistically embracing your inner beauty. These are the best of times!

Judgment XX

Judgment, in a psychic tarot reading, proclaims a breakthrough of the highest order! It is representative of a life well lived and work well done. An awakening renewal and feeling that one is on the verge of completing their journey can come, seemingly out of nowhere. You have the strength and energy now to rise above all barriers. Judgment represents a change of personal consciousness, which is now on the verge of blending with universal consciousness. In this card, The Fool who by effort and suffering has found the secrets of life is now able to break through the barriers and into a new level of existence. It cannot be stated in a grander sense that Judgment represents self realization, a spiritual awakening, knowing what the truth of your own heart is and a glorious unveiling of the spirit. This is the moment of any epiphany! Life’s experience is fulfilled and the last challenge of illusion, self doubt and uncertainty when encountering the energies of The Moon are gone. With the advent of The Sun, and now The Judgment card, illusions are a thing of the past. We have a clear perception of who we are and where we are going. If that is not present in the moment, this card and its energies of casting off restrictions and gratefully and happily striving in to a new life, promises that these energies will all arrive soon and in the grandest way. A new beginning is at hand, a new understanding of self, and personal potential is expressing these qualities into the world now. This is our own personal resurrection. The appearance of The Judgment card in a psychic tarot reading often indicates a new vision to live one’s life by and a greater more loving view of our personal qualities. This is when we awaken to our own truth, and we realize that the only acceptance we require is the one that lives within our own hearts.

The World XXI

The World in a psychic tarot reading represents the ending of the long journey and the beginning of a new, unmistakably greater path forward. Just some of the keywords, radiating from this card are completion, reward, success, and triumph in all of one’s undertakings. Travel and change of residence and arrival at a state of cosmic consciousness can also be indicated in the appearance of The World. This is liberation in the truest sense. Projects that were initiated along the way, especially those that had, or sought a global outcome, now find success in the grandest way. The World represents the finality of the journey. The World is also symbolic of what is referred to as the goal of the perennial philosophy, or the hero’s journey, or any battle between the dark and light forces of our own evolving soul. The World represents victory over those forces in the outer world, and more importantly, within our own heart and mind. As we bask in having crossed the finish line, we take a moment to acknowledge this attainment, but also realize that life has not ended. Once again, we will be called to embrace the journey of The Fool. What we will find, however, is that we have not only come full circle, but we have been elevated a full turn upward on the spiral of life. Bask in your successes, relish the triumph of all that you have undertaken and embrace the new perspective of a consciousness, now beautifully prepared to continue on. The time for the new journey will come, but at this moment take stock of this new vehicle that you have honed through the victories and sorrows of this journey thus far. This is a milestone, and time for celebration!
